Randy Prothero
Not Just Another Pretty Face.
Randy is the Broker-in-Charge for the Mililani office of eXp Realty. Randy was the founding Principal Broker in Hawaii for this publicly traded company that started as an agent owned company. He also leads, “The Prothero Group,” sales team.
Randy has been teaching for many years. Offering CE courses for Realtors for the last several years, with a focus on professional standards. He taught chess for nearly 20 years. Several of the students he worked with have gone on to win both state and national titles. The soccer academy he was president of, produced Hawaii’s first national champions in many years and many state titles. Many of their players have gone on to play college and professional soccer, including his youngest son who is currently playing soccer for UH Hilo.
Previous to getting back into real estate in 2003, Randy taught printing and graphics and provided tech support to the printing industry for many years and had a magazine column for a regional trade magazine.
Randy currently volunteers with the Honolulu Board of Realtors in a few capacities. Randy is also a well-known real estate author. Over 100 of Randy’s blog articles have been nationally featured in the Active Rain blog system.

Shannon Zerfas
Invest in Paradise.
Shannon leads marketing and strategy at Prothero Group. Born and raised on Oahu, Shannon’s background spans international economic research, financial planning, corporate strategy, and non-profit management. Most recently, she worked in strategy and operations for Nike World Headquarters and also lead a nonprofit research organization. While her career has allowed her to pursue many incredible avenues, the one thing that’s stayed consistent is her love of real estate.
Shannon bought her first property at 23 years old and hasn’t looked back since. She’s made it her goal to not only be a perpetual student of real estate, but also to help others take advantage of the incredible benefits of home ownership and real estate investing.
Shannon and her husband moved back home to Oahu to be closer to family (and enjoy some sunshine!). In addition to leading marketing at The Prothero Group, she invests in real estate locally in partnership with her father, who’s worked in commercial and residential construction on Oahu since 1983.
In her free time, she spends as much time outdoors with husband, friends, and family as possible. She’s grateful to live in the most beautiful place on earth and a few minutes drive from her parents and sister, who works for the Honolulu Fire Department.
